The image above depicts some of the members of MacMullin's Raiders. Capt Ray W. MacMullin commanded a special Recon Platoon of the 139th Airborne Engineers, 17th Airborne Division during WWII. They have just returned from a successful patrol near the city of Essen, Germany, April 1945. Note the ecclectic array of weapons including the Garand, M1918 BAR, an M3 Grease Gun, a German Luger and a British STEN Mk-V. They are riding on the obiquitous WWII Jeep and display a recently captured German Army Flag. My intent is to restore one of my projects to mirror this Jeep. Photo taken by Recon Member Sgt. Robert H. Bentzien.

Quest for Projects
Many hours of research and phone calls sometimes yields a few items or a trove parts for a restoration. It's hard to find a 100% complete project, so one ends up spending a few years to find most of what is needed for a single restoration. I have 2 1/2 GPWs, so more items are always needed. The converto trailer is nearly complete save for the landing leg. It simply needs a restoration.
