McMullen Raiders light

The image above depicts some of the members of MacMullin's Raiders. Capt Ray W. MacMullin commanded a special Recon Platoon of the 139th Airborne Engineers, 17th Airborne Division during WWII. They have just returned from a successful patrol near the city of Essen, Germany, April 1945. Note the ecclectic array of weapons including the Garand, M1918 BAR, an M3 Grease Gun, a German Luger and a British STEN Mk-V. They are riding on the obiquitous WWII Jeep and display a recently captured German Army Flag. My intent is to restore one of my projects to mirror this Jeep. Photo taken by Recon Member Sgt. Robert H. Bentzien.

Quest for Projects

My focus of late has changed from restoring military vehicles to also writing articles about US WW2 veterans of the European Theater of Operations. I am always looking for small grouping from ETO veterans especially if they have captured items or "bring back" items with them. In the future I will add articles as they are written. I will continue to work on restoring the projects I have.
